Course Description
A vast majority of students of Computer Science and related fields find it difficult to understand the basic concepts of computer programming. As a result, they fear and anxiety about programming when advanced topics are taught in class. A CS graduate must have a basic understanding of what really happens when they press the run button of an IDE. This course delivers the gateway of understanding programming from more fundamental perspectives.
Computer Programming Introduction Course Objectives
1. To clarify the need for programming and programming languages.
2. To get introduced to modern programming languages.
3. To discover the history of The C Programming Language and its connection to UNIX.
4. To understand how source codes finally run in machines (Spoiler: They don’t!).
