This course is designed to strengthen understanding of the climate change –human mobility nexus by bridging the gap among global discourse, policy, and ground level realities. It equips participants with the knowledge and practical tools to address climate change- mobility nexus, with a specific focus on Bangladesh. The course explores the inter-linkages between climate change, human mobility, and resilience, and supports the application of rights-based and gender-responsive approaches to promote durable solutions and long-term resilience for affected populations.
This course has been developed to enhance the capacity and understanding of all stakeholders including government officials, practitioners, and actors working at the intersection of climate change, disaster, human mobility, and resilience. It aims to provide a clear understanding of the linkages between climate change and migration, outline global and national policy frameworks, and equip practitioners with practical tools and approaches for managing human mobility driven by climate change in Bangladesh. The ultimate goal is to promote evidence-based, inclusive, and rights-focused solutions that reduce vulnerability and enhance resilience for affected communities.

While there are no strict educational prerequisites, it is recommended that participants have:
A basic understanding of climate change concepts and disaster management terminology.
Professional or volunteer experience working with vulnerable or displaced populations in Bangladesh.
